Jon Marcus

Jon Marcus is a contributing editor to the Hechinger Report. He is U.S. higher-education correspondent for the Times (U.K.) Higher Education magazine.

He has also written about higher education for Washington Monthly, the Boston Globe, and other magazines and newspapers, including CrossTalk, the journal of the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education.

A former editor of Boston magazine, Marcus holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree from Bates College. He teaches journalism at Boston College and Boston University.
