Norberto Gonzalez Gaitano

Norberto González Gaitano is Professor of Public Opinion at the School of Church Communications of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome) and the author of Public Opinion and the Catholic Church (2009), Famiglia e media. Il detto e il non detto (“Family and Media: The Said and the Unsaid”) (2008), Comunicazione e luoghi della fede (“Communication and the Places of Faith”) (2000), La interpretación y la narración periodísticas (Narrative and Interpretation in Journalism) (1997) and El deber de respeto a la intimidad (“Privacy and Intimacy in Journalism”) (1990).

Formerly a professor of Ethics of Communication at the University of La Laguna (1990-1996) and at the University of Navarra (1981-1991), he has also been a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Chicago (2008-2009) and at the Catholic University of America (Washington, 1995). He is currently the Vice Rector for communications at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, a Consultant of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, and the director of the web portal www.familyandmedia.eu
