Clare Cannon

Clare Cannon lives in Sydney where she is the manager of Portico Books, the world’s most beautiful boutique bookstore specialising in quality literature for adults and children. After a Master of Arts and an initial career as an Art Director in book publishing and a university lecturer in design, she felt the gravitational pull of the family book business and developed an insatiable love for reading.

Locally she’s become infamous for ‘Portico book tastings’ where she briefs a captive audience on which new books are best for whom, leaving everyone resolved to give up TV and rediscover the delights of the written word.
