Clare Cannon

Clare Cannon lives in Sydney where she is editor of The Good Reading Guide and manager of Portico Books, the world’s most beautiful boutique bookstore specialising in quality literature for adults and children. After a Bachelor of Arts in English, History and Fine Arts and a Master of Arts in Communications, she felt the gravitational pull of the family book business and now devotes all of her time and talent to the promotion of good reading.

Locally she’s become infamous for ‘Portico book tastings’ where she briefs a captive audience on which new books are best for whom, leaving everyone resolved to give up TV and rediscover the delights of the written word.
