Roe is getting old
Sheila Liaugminas | 22 January 2010
On this 37th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 36th annual March for
Life in Washington was expecting over 200,000 people this year,
estimating that the majority of them are young people, students, young
adults, and even children with their parents.
Faith in Haiti
Sheila Liaugminas | 21 January 2010
It’s hard, nearly impossible, to see or imagine the good in horrific
devastation in Haiti….
Atheistic altruism?
Sheila Liaugminas | 21 January 2010
Is that an oxymoron, when you think of it?
NOW they say the hype was unwarranted
Sheila Liaugminas | 20 January 2010
On the car radio a couple of days ago, I caught an interesting
interview on Beeb radio with Tina Brown about media in decline and
President Obama in….well, decline. Brown now claims he should have
never been so built up in the first place.
What a year
Sheila Liaugminas | 20 January 2010
In the aftermath of Tuesday’s Massachusetts election, today’s
anniversary of President Obama’s inauguration has been all but
overloooked in the media, although some did start their analysis early,

One year later
Sheila Liaugminas | 19 January 2010

Mass. upheaval
Sheila Liaugminas | 19 January 2010

King’s dream: no exclusions
Sheila Liaugminas | 18 January 2010
“Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke of a Beloved Community where all are
treated with respect and dignity,” said Dr. Alveda King.
What’s PP doing on MLK Day?
Sheila Liaugminas | 18 January 2010
On the anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest civil rights
leaders in history, who eloquently preached and fought for the sanctity
of human life and the dignity of every human being, two stories that
crossed my path struck me as jarring.
One thing Haiti doesn’t need
Sheila Liaugminas | 15 January 2010
And neither do the rest of us concentrating on the human impact of the disaster there and sending humanitarian relief.
A picture is worth…
Sheila Liaugminas | 15 January 2010
No amount of words could convey what pictures of the Haiti tragedy say.
What’s Planned Parenthood about?
Sheila Liaugminas | 14 January 2010
Analyze that name. Doesn’t planning involve information with which to decide what course of action to take?
Judges acted in unseemly haste
Sheila Liaugminas | 14 January 2010
And unlawful, too. So says the Supreme Court in denying the webcast or telecast of the extremely tense court challenge to Proposition 8.
