Katie Hinderer | 06 February 2012
I love the oversized sweater trend that made a splash this fall, but let’s be honest it is not the easiest trend to wear.
How to pack lightly
Katie Hinderer | 03 February 2012
Packing lightly and smartly takes time and practice. You need to put an effort into thinking through versatile outfits and packable clothing items.
How to host a clothing swap
Katie Hinderer | 27 January 2012
A few months ago I hosted my very first clothing swap. The premise is simple, every attendee brings gently used clothing that they are no longer using. You get the chance to get rid of things you can't fit into or are no longer interested in and can take home someone else's quality castaways.
Does the appearance of a politial candidate matter?
Katie Hinderer | 25 October 2011
why is there such a dichotomy between men and women in the political arena?
The 5 Items to Buy this Fall to Update Your Wardrobe
Katie Hinderer | 07 October 2011
I need to be selective about my purchases – which got me thinking: if I could only buy 5 new items this fall which ones would it be?
The benefit of taking outfit pictures (even if you aren’t a blogger)
Katie Hinderer | 28 September 2011
I think everyone can benefit from taking outfit pictures – especially when it comes to favored looks or ones intended for special occasions.
YP: What to Wear on Your First Day at a New Job
Katie Hinderer | 12 September 2011
The first impression we make – in any situation – is so important.
Branding clothing and celebrity endorsements
Katie Hinderer | 05 September 2011
Last week, the celebrity gossip sites were all abuzz with the news that Abercrombie
and Fitch had asked The Situation to stop wearing its clothing.

Katie Hinderer | 20 July 2011
I figured eShakti would be the same as most other online retailers – short dresses made for someone closer to 5’2” than 5’10”. But the site lets you customize the dress of your choice for a mere $7.50 more.
YP: Interview Attire – the dos and don’ts
Katie Hinderer | 14 July 2011
’ve got a thing or two to say about what you should and shouldn’t wear to a job interview. You see, my father has worked in human resources for more than 30 years and so over the years I’ve picked up a few of his tips, pearls of wisdom and pet peeves.

The new vintage inspired women
Katie Hinderer | 07 February 2011
The article reported the increasing popularity of vintage-inspired dresses, reminiscent of women from the 1940s and 1950s. Now more than the previous generation, women have taken to cinched waists, shapely dresses, pencil skirts and tucked-in blouses.
Endless outfits with limited clothing
Katie Hinderer | 30 December 2010
The key to a great wardrobe, for both guys and girls, is the ability to mix and match the various items in order to create new looks with the same pieces.
30 for 30 – Repurposing your wardrobe
Katie Hinderer | 28 December 2010
This week I finished a 30-day fashion blogger challenge. I had to pick 30 items from my closet (including shoes but excluding accessories) and remix them into 30 different outfits to be worn over a 30-day period. No outfit repeats, no shopping during that time and no wearing an item that is not part of the 30 pre-picked items.
The must-haves of the season. Really?
Katie Hinderer | 19 December 2010
The more I read those articles the more annoyed I become with the idea of must-haves.
Please, no pajamas in class
Katie Hinderer | 28 September 2010
The freedom is great; but I think some of it goes to a person’s head and they forget basic human functionality. What is up with all the students who go to class still in their pajamas?
Bikinis in a Spanx culture
Katie Hinderer | 16 July 2010
This bikini proliferation in a Spanx culture confuses me.
Where did the slip go?
Katie Hinderer | 08 July 2010
Where did the slip go? You know, that thing your grandmother and mother wear underneath their skirts and dresses? Maybe it's considered too old-fashioned. But really it's an absolute wardrobe must
How to shop for pants
Katie Hinderer | 06 July 2010
I’ve come to the conclusion that there are two types of women in this world. Those who buy clothes that are too big for them and those that buy clothes that are too small. Rarely have I come across someone who buys the right size all the time - especially when it comes to pants.

Katie Hinderer | 18 June 2010
For women, and less so for men, the size printed on the tag in the clothing item they are wearing or trying on is of utmost important.
