I wish celebrities that wanted to play around with things in such a public spectacle would leave marriage out of it. To have this serious personal commitment between two people debased to such an extent that it is only about feelings is a shame.

While I watched the wedding unfold I couldn’t help but think this has disaster written all over it. Disaster for the couple but more so disaster for the average girl who watches the ceremony and suddenly has wedding aspirations of princess proportions.

I saw the tweets about the dress before I saw it. Knowing that it was an Alexander McQueen dress I had a cringe moment. The designer, who passed away last year, was known for his envelope-pushing designs and bold statements. Then I saw the picture and had a momentary vision of Grace Kelly. Elegance, Grace. Refinement. She was stunning and all covered up!
