Donald J. Hagler

Dr Donald J. Hagler is a Professor of Pediatrics, Consultant in Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiovascular Diseases Mayo College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic.

Dr Hagler is a native of Belleville, IL. He completed his undergraduate education at St. Louis University and received his MD degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1968. He completed a Pediatric internship and one year of Pediatric Residency at St. Louis University Group Hospitals and served as a Pediatrician in the Navy at the Naval Hospital in Port Hueneme, CA for two years.

He was a Fellow in Pediatric Cardiology at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in 1974 and joined the staff in Pediatric Cardiology at the Mayo Clinic in 1975.

He has served as the Co-Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Mayo Clinic and currently is a Professor of Pediatrics. He is an adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniform Services University of the Health Sciences.

He has served on the editorial boards of Circulation and the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography and the Councils on Cardiovascular Disease in the Young, The American College of Cardiology, and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
