Egil Asprem

Egil Asprem is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

He is a specialist in the study of Western esotericism, an interdisciplinary field spanning intellectual history, religious studies, and the history of science and technology.

He is the author of Arguing with Angels: Enochian Magic and Modern Occulture (SUNY Press, 2012), and co-editor of Contemporary Esotericism (Equinox, 2013). Asprem runs the blog Heterodoxology.com.
