Eve MacDonald

I am an ancient historian and archaeologist working and teaching on the history of Rome and its conquests.

My book on Hannibal: A Hellenistic Life was published in 2015 by Yale University Press. I am currently involved in research that connects to a recent fieldwork project on the Frontiers of the Sasanian Persian Empire (Persia and Its Frontiers) and I am also working on a book on the History of the Sasanian period.
