Prabir Bhattacharya

Dr Bhattacharya is the Editor-in-Chief of Progress in Development Studies. He has been a member of both national and international research panels. He has taught at the University of Delhi, University College London, University of Keele and University of Edinburgh. He has been a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Yokohama National University, Japan and given invited lectures at the Norwegian School of Economics, Budapest University of Economic Sciences and the Kyoto Institute of Economic Research, among others. He has been an invited speaker at a number of international conferences and an external examiner for a number of Universities.

His research interests include development economics, macroeconomics, financial economics, economic demography and economic history.
