Good news from West Africa

by Michael Cook | April 18, 2018

Our blog Harambee is supposed to highlight good news from Africa. The world's fastest growing continent, with its huge human capital, has enormous potential for growth. But it has been held back by political instability. That's why the news highlighted by Mathew Otieno in his article below is so encouraging: an outbreak of solid democratic reform in West Africa. Instead of a succession of coups, there has been a succession of democratically elected leaders. Like most good news, this has flown under the radar.
