A new editor for Family Edge

tamara_sthafrica Hi there,
You have probably noticed over the past week or two that there is a new voice on the blog. Tamara Rajakariar, a young Sydney journalist, has taken over as editor of Family Edge and is doing a great job of it. I am happily playing second fiddle while I give more time to other tasks on the site.
Tamara is not a newcomer to MercatorNet as she has contributed a couple of articles to our main list and also to Tiger Print. (After giving the young adult / lifestyle blog a good trial we have decided to retire Tiger Print and incorporate YA themes in Family Edge.)
Now, here’s some more about Tamara, who is on a mission to change the world in her own special way.
Since graduating from the University of Technology, Sydney, with a journalism degree in 2010 she has worked in television journalism and online fashion, relocated to South Africa to explore her African roots (see photo above -- being Zambian-born is her claim to fame), and dragged her camera through every continent except Antarctica (too cold) and South America (next on the list!).
Tamara loves all things travel, style and culture, which she likes to mull over on her personal blog, Ask Tam. She currently works a few jobs – all of which involve writing – and is a team member and presenter with the All.u.re Workshop, which promotes a holistic approach to beauty for young girls and women. MercatorNet’s editors welcome Tamara to the team and encourage FE readers to send her (and me) feedback about posts and any story tips for the blog.
Her email is [email protected]
