Science fair projects stump students
Anna Wang and her friends, Laura and Camille, are having a hard time deciding on a topic for the school science fair. Her mother would probably help, but she is too distracted by the fact that Anna's newly adopted baby sister, Kaylee, will not eat. When Camille discovers that Kaylee does eat when the older girls sing to her, the threesome decide they have finally found the solution not just to their schoolwork dilemma, but also to the Wang family's concerns about Kaylee.
This sweet story about family ties and friendship is a wonderful easy reader for primary grade students. Anna's devotion to her family, Laura's loyalty and Camille's constant concern for others all play a role in helping Kaylee adjust to her new home. Each girl has a special talent, proving that everyone, regardless of intellectual ability, has something valuable to contribute to the world.
