How to reduce poverty
Get rid of poor people. This is not a new idea of
the liberal pro-abortion movement. They’ve been trying to do it for
years. But it sure was startling as it came out of the mouth of Nancy Pelosi on ABC’s ‘This Week’ Sunday.
In perhaps the most absurd move yet by the current
Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi is defending her move to include
hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer money in the stimulus plan
to expand family planning services — arguing that it will help
financially strapped states.
Yep, it’s in the stimulus package.
On the heels of President Barack Obama overturning a
policy to stop taxpayer dollars from going to pro-abortion groups to
promote abortions overseas, Congressional Democrats have loaded down
the economic stimulus bill to send taxpayer funds to domestic abortion
groups.
The Democrats’ stimulus plan now includes a measure to send more
public funds to the Planned Parenthood abortion business to find
contraception and birth control.
And Stephaopoulos asked at least one or two good questions about the plan.
STEPHANOPOULOS: Hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services. How is that stimulus?
PELOSI: Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce
cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of
what we do for children’s health, education and some of those elements
are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those - one
of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs
to the states and to the federal government.
Get it? Contraception reduces human beings, which reduces costs to the state and federal government.
STEPHANOPOULOS: So no apologies for that?
PELOSI: No apologies. No. we have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy.
This hit my inbox this morning, passed on by several outraged
people. It’s on talk radio today and in ‘alternative media’, who are
leading with it as a jaw-dropping revelation of Washington extremism.
No surprise here, though. We’ve been warned before about the sci-fi future coming soon if we weren’t watchful. A “New World Order” would seek to “reduce the guests at the common table.”
One email this morning recalled that only last week, Pope Benedict
warned that there are storm clouds on the horizon. But, she added, they
seem already to be overhead.
