Forget the new Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn, that is about to be released. I’m so over that whole series and the fan craze! But make time to check out The Hunger Games.
Have you read the popular series by Suzanne Collins? I have to say it is one of the best young adult books I’ve read in a long long time. The plot in a nutshell: In order to save her sister’s life, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to be a tribute in the countries Hunger Games – an annual Olympic-style competition in which one boy and one girl from each of the districts is forced to fight until there is only one standing. Of course it isn’t as cut and dry as one tribute standing at the end, and Katniss’ loyalty and strength sparks a revolution.
The three-book series has been growing in popularity over the last three years and now, finally, the first movie trailer has been released for the movie. I can’t remember a time I was so excited to see a movie.
