Toddler buys car with dad's iPhone
In our fast-paced and technological world, there are a lot of things that need to be seriously considered in terms of the way that we, and children, use the available gadgets. But sometimes, we have to just to sit back and laugh at some of the silly things that go wrong!
Case in point: a toddler accidentally purchased a car while playing with her dad’s iPhone, which happened to be logged into eBay. Thankfully it was a car in need of some work, and thus was low on price – but her father only found out upon receipt of a confirmation email. It all worked out well really, he plans to fix it up for her sixteenth birthday!
Other incidents that are comical (for us, probably not so much for the parents involved!) include a five-year old who produced a £1,700 bill by downloading in-app purchases on a free iPad game, a teenage son’s £3,700 iPad bill, and a hefty £1,000 spent on a Simpsons game by an 8-year old.
Not to fear though – parents whose children unintentionally racked up a big bill have until January to claim compensation from Apple. Not to mention that Apple have also highlighted a Parents' Guide to iTunes in their App Store.
You have to admit, even if the technology doesn’t entertain you, the unexpected malfunctions certainly can!
