Work-life balance: real stories

In less than six months, I’ll be getting married. And being open to the possibilities, who knows how soon after that I could have children?
I’ve always wanted kids but in drawing closer to the reality, there are a lot of questions to consider. Would I want to keep a full-time job? Could I work from home? I’d want family to take priority, of course, and with that is it even possible to maintain another job?
Every woman and situation is different, of course. I’m confident that I’d like to be at home once children come along, but still writing as much as possible. Even so, it’s wonderful to read how other family-oriented women have created balance in their lives – creating a beautiful home still working hard outside of the home.
That’s why I loved the “Real Story” of Maria Elena Critto from the BeHome Blog by the Home Renaissance Foundation, who recognise that a healthy home is the best building block for society. Critto talks about working as a sociologist, bringing up her five kids, and the importance of learning about good parenting. Have a read here!
